Hello, I'm Nick.
A ML PhD student.

Welcome to my portfolio website! I am a machine learning PhD student at the university of University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa under advisor Peter Sadowski.
On this website I host an overview over my research projects, education, and work experience. I plan on writing about interesting things I enounter along my research journey in the future.
In the meantime, check out some of the groups I currently work with:

About me

I love working on science problems using machine learning. Over the course of my graduate studies I have had the pleasure of exploring many disciplines through the lens of machine learning, including high energy physics, astonomy, biology, remote sensing, and medical imaging.
I am currently most passionate about adapting self-supervised learning techniques to work for non-natural image applications by incorporating domain knowledge.
I am slated to graduate with my PhD by May 2025 after which I am seeking a challenging position where I can leverage my expertise in machine learning, self-supervised learning, and collaborative problem solving to do innovative work in fields such as medical imaging, remote sensing, climate science, and physics.
